Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Senior Data Scientist

to join our data science team. The ideal candidate will be a
critical thinker

and
problem solver

with a strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data engineering. You will be responsible for leading complex analytical projects, developing and deploying scalable data science solutions, and mentoring junior team members. This role requires the ability to translate business objectives into measurable technical solutions and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

As a
Senior Data Scientist

, you will play a key role in driving data-informed decision-making across the organisation. You'll lead end-to-end analytical projects — from problem definition and data exploration to model development, deployment, and stakeholder communication. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to uncover actionable insights, build scalable predictive models, and advance our data science capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead

the design, development, and deployment of advanced predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning, statistical modeling, and optimization techniques to solve complex business problems.
2. Collaborate

with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Business) to understand requirements, define project scope, and deliver impactful data-driven solutions.
3. Develop

and maintain production-ready data pipelines and scalable infrastructure for deploying and monitoring models in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
4. Perform

deep-dive analyses using statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategic business decisions.
5. Mentor

and guide junior data scientists on best practices in coding, modeling, experimentation, and deployment.
6. Drive

the adoption of new technologies, data science methodologies, and best practices across the organization.
7. Present

findings, recommendations, and the business impact of data science initiatives to executive leadership and stakeholders.
8. Ensure

data quality, integrity, and security across all projects and models.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Education:

Master's or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience:

5+ years

of professional experience in a Data Scientist or similar quantitative role, with a proven track record of successfully delivering end-to-end data science projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Expert proficiency

in programming languages, particularly
Python (Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch)

and/or
R

.
- Strong expertise in
SQL

and working with relational and non-relational databases.
- Deep understanding of a broad range of
machine learning algorithms

(e.g., boosting, deep learning, time series) and statistical concepts.
- Experience with
cloud platforms

(AWS, GCP, or Azure) and technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and MLOps tools.
- Experience with
Big Data technologies

(e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent
communication

and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to
lead projects

independently and manage stakeholder expectations.

Preferred

  • Experience in
    Specific Industry, e.g., FinTech, E-commerce, Healthcare

or with
Specific Data Type, e.g., NLP, Computer Vision, Geospatial Data

.
- Familiarity with A/B testing, experimental design, and causal inference techniques.
- Experience with dashboarding and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
