Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 in Western Australia. Located in the Eastern Wheatbelt region of WA, Southern Cross Operations is the flagship operation for the company and holds a tenement package of approximately 1,400km2 with significant exploration potential. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, two active underground mines, two active open pits and an exciting life of mine plan. This will be a full-time role on 5/2 Perth Based roster with regular site travel.

About the role:

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, the Specialist - Tenements and Lands plays a valuable role in supporting the business with respect to all tenure and land matters at the Southern Cross Operations. The role includes:

  • Effectively manage Barto's Western Australian tenement package
  • Manage Barto's legal tenement compliance
  • Assist with managing and coordinating heritage compliance and clearances
  • Assist with managing, coordinating and negotiating land holder negotiations
  • Participate in business improvement initiatives

About You:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree from a recognised tertiary institution in a related field
  • Demonstratable experience in mining title compliance, land management and knowledge of the relevant Acts
  • Strong case management and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering positive outcomes
  • Good understanding of Western Australian mining and land administration and statutory requirements
  • Good oral and written skills - both in technical and reporting
  • Ability to respond/complete requested projects within required deadlines
  • Demonstrated planning, analytical, report writing and communication skills
  • High level administrative skills, including the ability to meet deadlines
  • Current WA Class Drivers Licence

Desirable

  • Tertiary education in a related Law field
  • Skilled in the use of GIS
