The Opportunity

We're looking for an artistic and youthful Interior Designer for a 6-month contract to breathe life into industrial design projects. Your mission will be to reimagine mine site villages and office facilities, creating environments that feel far removed from the industrial setting while still meeting the practical needs of the workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring fresh, artistic perspectives to industrial design concepts for mine site villages and office facilities.

  • Design layouts that optimise functionality while creating uplifting and welcoming experiences, making workers feel as though they are not on a mine site.

  • Collaborate closely with the project engineering team, senior designer, clients, and site workforce to ensure design harmony and cohesion.

  • Develop mood boards, 3D renders, and technical drawings that reflect your creative vision.

  • Source materials and furnishings that are durable yet thoughtfully chosen to enhance the industrial aesthetic while creating warmth and comfort.

  • Create spaces that inspire and rejuvenate workers, fostering a sense of belonging and well-being.

  • Oversee project timelines and budgets, ensuring artistry meets practicality without compromise.

  • Integrate sustainable and energy-efficient solutions into your designs.

About You

  • We're seeking someone imaginative, passionate, and ready to dive into this exciting niche. Ideally, you'll have:

  • A youthful energy that brings a fresh perspective to your designs.

  • A degree in Interior Design or a related field.

  • Experience designing industrial spaces, particularly mine site villages and office facilities.

  • A portfolio that showcases your talent for blending functionality with artistic flair.

  • Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • A knack for collaboration and clear communication.
