Senior Officer, Student and Academic Administration

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, energetic and highly organised Senior Officer, Student and Academic Administration to provide a wide range of senior administrative services to support the effective and efficient operation of the Student and Academic Administration team within our world-leading Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences.

Key responsibilities will include: 

• Advice and Support: Deliver high-level guidance to students, staff, and prospective students on academic programs, admissions, enrolment, assessment, graduation, and related policies.

• Academic and Operational Coordination: Support the Associate Dean (Academic) and Manager on student and academic matters, oversee enrolment surveillance, government reporting, credit guidelines, and data analysis to drive process improvements.

• Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on student and academic issues, maintain accurate information across databases, websites, and publications.

• Training and Representation: Provide SI-net training, perform expert user and audit functions, and represent the Faculty at recruitment and promotional events.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position through to 19th June 2026 at HEW Level 6.

• A degree with subsequent extensive experience and specialist expertise, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

• Administrative experience in an area related to student and academic administration in a university environment.

• Experience with developing training and procedure documents and/or delivering training.

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, to work under pressure and to establish priorities.

• Knowledge of the university's teaching programs, rules, policies, organisational structures and administrative procedures or a demonstrated capacity to rapidly gain such knowledge.

• Demonstrated ability to use initiative and judgement and to problem-solve.

• Accuracy, attention to detail and excellent time management skills.

• Flexibility, reliability and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia, criminal check.
