Capital Paint Place is a family-owned and operated business specialising in automotive, industrial and architectural coatings. We're a busy trade retail business supplying paint and related products direct to both trade and retail customers.

We're looking for a reliable and motivated Sales & Store Person to join our team in Fyshwick. This is a hands-on and varied role working across our Shopfront and warehouse, helping our customers find the right products and keeping operations running smoothly.

What you'll do:

  • Assist customers in-store, over the phone and via email with sales and product enquiries
  • Accurately colour match and tint paint products
  • Receive, check and dispatch stock
  • Assist with occasional deliveries as required.
  • Operate the forklift
  • Maintain a tidy, safe and well-presented store

What we're looking for:

  • Strong customer service skills, confidence dealing with both retail and trade clients
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office and computer literacy skills – prior POS or stock system experience is an advantage
  • Ability to perform regular physical tasks, such as lifting, carrying and standing for extended periods
  • Current driver's license
  • Current forklift licence, or the ability to obtain one within three months
  • Previous experience with automotive and/or architectural paint
  • A team player who can take direction and work independently

What we offer:

  • Full time role: Monday to Friday (7:00am – 3:00pm) with alternating rostered Saturday mornings (8:30am – 12pm)
  • Salary negotiable based on experience, plus 12% superannuation and RDO entitlements
