The Role

Due to organic growth they are seeking an experienced Senior Planner (Environmental) to join their growing team of environmental specialists and planners. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in managing environmental and planning approvals across a diverse portfolio of projects in Queensland and northern Australia.

You'll work across renewable energy, infrastructure, resources, tourism, and community development projects. You will also be responsible for guiding projects from concept through approvals and delivery, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and positive client and stakeholder outcomes.

You'll further develop and enhance key relationships with government and industry stakeholders and further enhance our client's excellent reputation for delivering trusted advice and high-quality, practical outcomes.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years' experience in environmental planning, town planning, or a related field.
  • Proven track record securing approvals under the Queensland Planning Act, EPBC Act, and State regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong background in infrastructure, renewable energy, or large-scale development projects.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to guide junior staff and contribute to business growth.
