Position: Carpenter – Caravan Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Blueprint interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or building plans to understand project requirements.
  • Material preparation: Measure and mark materials accurately, then cut and shape them to specified measurements.
  • Framework construction: Assemble and fasten materials to create the caravan's structural framework, including walls, floors, and roof structures.
  • Fixture installation: Install interior and exterior fixtures, such as doors, windows, cabinetry, and trim.
  • Assembly: Assemble all the cut components to form the final structures and fixtures.
  • Finishing: Apply finishing touches, such as sanding or sealing, to ensure a professional and durable result.
  • Quality control: Use tools like levels and plumb bobs to ensure the structure is true, and inspect work for any damage or defects.
  • Safety and compliance: Follow all safety rules and regulations and ensure the completed caravan meets all relevant building codes.
  • Tool maintenance: Use, clean, and maintain a variety of hand tools and power tools.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum Cert III in Carpentry

  2. Minimum 1 year post qualification experience
