About Cadia
Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method.

Who we're looking for

We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our busy Mobile Maintenance team at our Cadia.

You will be accountable for carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of light vehicles in accordance with company values, safety, environmental and statutory requirements.

With emphasis on diagnostics, troubleshooting and fault-finding, this rewarding and multifaceted opportunity will see you carry out breakdown repairs and scheduled servicing work on onsite light vehicles while delivering a high standard of safety.

Other Key Deliverables Include

• Provide technical support in all aspects of LV mechanical maintenance
• Identify and report any risk of component or equipment failure promptly
• Actively participate in the control of maintenance costs throughout the operations
• Maintain good working relationship with supervisors, peers and all internal and external clients
• Use of maintenance programs such as SAP, and electronic diagnostic tools such as Toyota and Isuzu

In Addition, You Will Ideally Also Have

• Australian recognised Trade Certificate as Light Vehicle Mechanic with current MVTC Motor Mechanic Licence
• Proven post-trade experience with on-site repairs & maintenance of Light Vehicles, preferably within Mining
• Forklift license and Refrigerant Handling Licence is advantageous
• Knowledge of SAP or similar systems is highly regarded
• Experience using electronic diagnostic tools such as Toyota and Isuzu
• Manual Class C Driver's Licence essential; HR Licence desirable

Please note
: This is a permanent fulltime role based at our Cadia operation in NSW. You will be required to work a 7 days on/7 off/7 nights on/7 off roster (12-hours per day, Thursday – Wednesday).
