Our client, a leading infrastructure organisation, is at the forefront of delivering one of the Gold Coast's most iconic assets. They are seeking an experienced and driven senior finance professional to join a dynamic team of highly qualified professionals to deliver  one of South East Queensland's most significant public infrastructure projects. This is a rare opportunity to play a key leadership role within a high-performing organisation renowned for excellence in project delivery.

Based in a modern office just steps from the beach in the heart of the Gold Coast, you'll join a small, focused, and collaborative team committed to the successful delivery of this landmark development.

About the Organisation

Our client is private organisation responsible for the financing, delivery, operation, and maintenance of a major Queensland project. The project is a key part of the city's public transport network and is jointly funded by three levels of government and private investors.

About the Role

Reporting to the CFO, this is a pivotal leadership role in the financial governance and financial performance of one of the Gold Coast's most iconic infrastructure projects.

You'll play a hands-on role in shaping the financial framework, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and commercial insight across all aspects of finance.

This role is perfect for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a lean, high-impact environment and takes full ownership of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead statutory reporting, audits, and financial statements
  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly management reports
  • Oversee tax compliance and governance in collaboration with external advisors
  • Provide financial insight to support strategic and operational decision-making
  • Supervise payroll and maintain strong internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies
  • Drive process improvements across systems and reporting

About You

You're a technically strong, detail-oriented finance professional with a proactive mindset and a passion for delivering results that make a lasting impact.

What You Bring

  • CA/CPA qualification
  • Senior finance experience, ideally in infrastructure or construction
  • Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills
  • High attention to detail and effective time management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Proficiency in Excel; BI tools experience is a plus
