Position Purpose

The Distribution & Repair Centre Manager plays a critical leadership role within the Operations function, responsible for overseeing and continuously improving the performance of Ingenico Pacific's warehouse, logistics, inventory management, repair, and test & clean operations.

This role ensures operational excellence, high service levels, and capability development across all distribution and repair centre activities. It also requires strategic thinking to drive process improvements and align operations with broader business goals.

As a member of the Operations Leadership Team, the role serves as the principal representative for these functions, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of operational strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Lead end-to-end operations of the Distribution & Repair Centre.
  • Ensure efficient inventory management, stock control, and warehousing processes.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, shipping, and transport.
  • Manage repair workflows for timely and high-quality product servicing.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Achieve customer and internal service level objectives.
  • Plan and allocate workforce against forecasted workloads.
  • Drive cost control initiatives and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a high-performance culture.

Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Team Leads and Operators.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication across the department.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance reviews.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Implement and monitor health & safety protocols.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage incidents.
  • Promote a proactive culture of safety and accountability.

Other

  • Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide timely and accurate operational reporting.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in large-scale operations.
  • Proven ability to manage large, diverse teams.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of Occupational Health & Safety principles.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems and ERP tools.
  • Strong grasp of best practices in distribution, repairs, and logistics.
  • Strategic thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • High emotional intelligence and resilience.
  • Strong stakeholder management and decision-making under complexity.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or certifications preferred.
  • Experience in the payments industry is advantageous but not essential.

Direct Reports

Team Leaders and Individual Contributors across Dispatch, Incoming Asset Control, Test & Clean, Repair, Keyloading, Stock Control, and Warehouse functions.

Compliance & Information Security

  • Adhere to company health and safety standards.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Pass background and police checks as required.
  • Protect confidential and sensitive company information.
  • Promptly report any information security breaches.
