
IT Service Desk Support Role

Ambrose Construct Group are one of Australia's leading national insurance Builders. Due to our national expansion, we are seeking a Service Desk / Support Technician to assist both staff and our trades with the use, setup, and maintenance of our systems. The successful candidate will be supporting a national user base as the first line of support delivering a high-level of customer service for IT support and technical projects.
To succeed in this role, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate to staff and trades who are less IT-savvy than yourself. You will have proficient skills to problem solve due to your experience across Microsoft and iOS devices.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Setting up new devices and assisting team members with technical matters both on their devices and with the company online portals.
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.
- Write and update training manuals.
- Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
- Respond to tickets from trades and team members seeking training and help for our portals.
- Ask intuitive questions to determine the nature of the ITC queries.
- Install, clean up, maintain, and run diagnostic programs to resolve computer issues.
- Resolve technical problems with networks and other ITC systems.
- Install computer peripherals for users both in person and remotely.
- Follow up with trades and team members to ensure issues have been resolved to satisfaction.
Skills & Capabilities:
- A sense of urgency, responsibility and accountability.
- Trouble shooting and resolving IT and related operational issues.
- Good general knowledge of technology including basic networking, hardware.
- Willingness to learn and improve your skills.
- Ability to clearly document problems and solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Level 1 or greater Helpdesk Experience.
- Experience with Cherwell service management tool or similar ITSM tools (favourable but not essential).
- Amazon Web Service or similar IAAS environments - favourable but not essential.
- Keen interest in programming / Application Support.
- iOS management.
- Good level of Microsoft Windows experience, installation and troubleshooting of drivers/applications.
