What you'll be doing

The Medical Radiation Practitioner Level 2 provides quality diagnostic imaging services at WSLHD, ensuring patient care meets national standards and departmental policies. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Delivering overnight diagnostic imaging services
  • Supporting daytime shifts when required
  • Adhering to national registration standards
  • Maintaining professional practice and policies
  • Contributing to excellence in patient care

Essential Criteria:

  • License: Eligible for NSW EPA Radiation Licence iA14
  • Qualification: Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
  • Registration: Eligible for and registered with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) prior to commencement.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in general radiography including but not limited to general and trauma, operation suite, mobile, dental and fluoroscopy.
  • Experience working in a busy hospital environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve clinical situations and to develop effective solutions.
