What you'll be doing

The Medical Radiation Practitioner role supports the Imaging Department in delivering safe, accurate and high-quality diagnostic services within WSLHD, guided by national standards and professional practices. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Providing expert diagnostic imaging services
  • Ensuring compliance with national standards
  • Supporting patient centred care and outcomes
  • Working within multidisciplinary teams
  • Upholding WSLHD policies and practices

Essential Criteria:

  • Licence: Eligible for NSW EPA Radiation Licence iA14
  • Qualification: Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • Registration: Eligible for and registered with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) prior to commencement

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in general radiography including but not limited to general and trauma, operation suite, mobile, dental and fluoroscopy
  • Experience working in a busy hospital environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to solve clinical situations and to develop effective solutions
