The Opportunity
As a Technical Service Engineer (L3), you will be part of an elite Level 3 team of subject matter experts, providing advanced technical support within a secure Defence environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability and performance of mission-critical systems, with a strong focus on Wintel infrastructure and incident management. Operating within a mature ITSM framework, you'll respond to complex technical challenges, support high-impact operations, and uphold the integrity of Defence IT services. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in a meaningful way, contributing to national capability while working with cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced, high-trust environment.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:
- Deliver Level 3 Technical Support through the client's ITSM toolset, ensuring resolution of incidents within agreed Service Health Indicator (SHI) timeframes.
- Engage and coordinate with third-party vendors to manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of complex issues.
- Contribute to Defence ICT projects, providing technical input and implementation support across critical initiatives.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, high-quality support practices.
- Develop and update Detailed Level Designs (DLDs) to align with evolving system architecture and security requirements.
- Support after-hours operations as needed to maintain system availability and respond to urgent issues in real-time.
Essential:
- Demonstrated knowledge & Experience in Microsoft Server 2016/2019 products and integrated technologies
- demonstrated Knowledge of CyberArk and PAM stack
- Demonstrated knowledge and Experience in Active Directory & Identify Management Services
- Demonstrated Knowledge & Experience in Vmware Vsphere 7
- Demonstrated Knowledge and Experience in Citrix Studios & Director
- Proficiency in advanced scripting
- ITIL V3/V4 certification
- CyberArk Certification
- NV2 security clearance is required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Microsoft Certifications or equivalent experience
