Caravan Service Manager - Newcastle

As the Caravan Service Manager, you will lead the daily operations of our service department, combining both hands-on technical expertise and leadership to deliver high-quality servicing and repairs. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our service standards, operational performance, and customer satisfaction are consistently met or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the service team to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Work hands-on in servicing and repairing caravans and motorhomes as needed, especially for complex or high-priority jobs.
  • Oversee the scheduling, inspection, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of caravans and motorhomes.
  • Manage customer service interactions, ensuring prompt communication, accurate diagnosis, and effective resolution of issues.
  • Liaise with the parts department to ensure availability and timely procurement of necessary parts.
  • Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures for workshop efficiency and quality assurance.
  • Monitor service department performance, budgets, and forecasts, identifying opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Provide ongoing training and mentoring to team members, ensuring alignment with industry standards, new technologies, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain full compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Service Manager or Senior Technician in the automotive, RV, or caravan industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated hands-on technical ability in caravan or motorhome service and repair.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using service management software and digital workshop systems.
  • Relevant trade qualification and certifications in automotive or mechanical service are preferred.
