This is for a Fixed Term Part Time appointment at 38 hours per fortnight for 12 months, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Position Profile:
This is an opportunity to clinically co-lead an emerging retrieval service hosted by the WA Country Health Service Command Centre (WACHS) within the State Health Operations Centre (SHOC). This role is suited to a senior critical care clinician with extensive experience in pre-hospital and retrieval medicine. This retrieval service will deliver expert care to the states most critically unwell patients, wherever they are. The immediate operational priority is to develop an interprofessional model to crew the Emergency Rescue Helicopter Service (ERHS) per the recommendations of Chief Health Officer's Inquiry into Aeromedical Services in Western Australia

As the lead in Paramedicine you will work in tandem with the Medical Lead to deliver on a concept of operations. This will include shaping a model of care, building a clinical governance framework and developing an evaluation framework. A key responsibility is commissioning and delivering nationally aligned educational programs. This role will operate within an existing program framework and an established clinical leadership structure. In this role, you will rapidly build strong relationships with partners in Department of Fire & Emergency Services (DFES) and ambulance services contracted to WA Health. Your role will foster a collaborative healthcare environment. This position offers a dynamic and supportive environment, ideal for candidates looking to grow their leadership capabilities while contributing meaningfully to the evolution of pre-hospital and retrieval medicine in Western Australia.
