Australia MUFG Pension & Market Services Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year
Description

Location: Parramatta (with one day per week in Sydney CBD)

Work type: Full time | Hybrid working model

Be part of shaping the future of operational resilience at MUFG Pension & Market Services.

We're looking for an experienced Operational Resilience Lead to join our Risk & Compliance team and drive enterprise-wide frameworks and capability that support a resilient, responsive, and secure organisation.

As a senior leader within MUFG Pension & Market Services (MPMS), you'll be responsible for the effective design, delivery and enhancement of our Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Crisis Management and Disaster Recovery programs. This highly visible role works across global business units and technology teams, providing independent second-line risk oversight, ensuring we're not only meeting our regulatory obligations — but continually strengthening our ability to respond to operational risks and disruption events.

This is a critical and rewarding opportunity to shape our resilience strategy across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory landscapes, uplift capability across senior leadership, and lead a small team of risk professionals as we continue to evolve with the pace of digital and regulatory change.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design and implementation of MPMS's Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Crisis Management and IT Disaster Recovery frameworks
  • Provide second-line oversight and assurance over operational resilience, working closely with technology, business units and senior stakeholders
  • Oversee enterprise-wide risk assessments, scenario testing and supplier reviews to identify and address resilience vulnerabilities
  • Build and maintain critical governance forums, reporting to risk committees and leadership on resilience measures and risk appetite alignment
  • Manage response to crisis events, including convening crisis management meetings and overseeing end-to-end recovery procedures
  • Drive education and awareness programs for leaders and teams, supporting a strong and embedded risk culture
  • Lead a small, high-performing team of Risk and BCP Managers

What we're looking for:

  • 12+ years' experience in operational risk, business continuity, audit, or technology resilience, ideally in large and complex financial services organisations
  • Proven leadership in managing enterprise risk, crisis response, and regulatory compliance programs across global jurisdictions
  • Experience working in second-line risk, technology risk, or internal audit highly desirable
  • Certifications such as CRISC, CISM, CISA, CISSP or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor advantageous
  • Familiarity with global standards and regulators such as APRA (CPS 230), SEBI, RBI, DORA, and FCA/PRA
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive cross-functional alignment

Why join us?

At MUFG Pension & Market Services, we've built a culture that values diversity, flexibility, and collaboration. We genuinely care about our people and provide an environment where you can thrive — both personally and professionally.

What we offer:

  • Hybrid working model and flexible work environment
  • Paid parental leave and wellbeing leave
  • Salary sacrificing via Superannuation
  • Health insurance discounts
  • Volunteer days and learning & development pathways
  • Supportive, values-led team culture
