About the role
As the Strategy and Operations Lead, Kraken Distribution, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of a new product and successfully bringing our innovative solutions to distribution utilities, globally.
You will work cross-functionally, collaborating closely with the General Manager, Kraken Distribution, bridging the gap between strategic vision, practical execution, and market success, to help ensure our operations are scalable, efficient, and aligned with our long-term goals.
This is an individual contributor role with clear opportunities to take on line, account and P&L management responsibilities as Kraken grows.
Your work will directly contribute to our ability to deliver a seamless and powerful experience to our customers and partners worldwide, and play a key role in our mission to make sustainable living accessible and affordable.
What you'll doStrategic Planning & Execution: Collaborate with leadership to define and refine strategic priorities for Kraken Distribution, translating them into actionable operational and go-to-market plans, and oversee their successful implementation across global markets.Go-to-Market Delivery: Lead the end-to-end development and execution of comprehensive go-to-market strategies Kraken Distribution. This includes: Conducting market and prospect analysis, developing our differentiated value proposition, defining competitive positioning, pricing strategies, and orchestrating launch plans in close collaboration with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure successful adoption and market penetration. Operational Excellence: Identify opportunities for process improvements across our distribution business operations. Automate workflows and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and improve service delivery for our utility clients.Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Delivery, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment, remove roadblocks, and facilitate the successful launch, scaling, and market adoption of Kraken Distribution.Project Management: Lead complex strategic, operational, and go-to-market projects from conception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet desired outcomes.Problem Solving: Proactively identify operational challenges, market barriers, and systemic issues, design creative solutions, and lead efforts to resolve them effectively.What you'll need5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, go-to-market roles, management consulting, or a similar analytical and execution-focused role, with a strong preference for experience within the energy, utilities, or related technology sectors.Proven experience in a leadership role, with a strong track record in strategic planning and operational execution.Demonstrated success in leading and implementing complex projects that drive significant business impact, including developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies for new products or market entry.Skills:
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong aptitude for breaking down complex issues and developing practical solutions for both operational and market challenges.Proven ability to think strategically while maintaining a strong focus on operational detail and market execution within a technology product context.Strong leadership, negotiation, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization, including external partners.Demonstrable expertise in SaaS businesses (e.g., value drivers), ideally with a focus on CRM or energy technology platformsStrong project and program management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools) and comfort working with data to inform strategic and go-to-market decisionsLocation & Travel:
