About the Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the coordination, development and evaluation of the state-wide NSW Ambulance Peer Support Program, supporting staff wellbeing across the organisation.
  • Work within a dedicated Staff Health team to strengthen psychological safety and foster a supportive workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with a large network of Volunteer Peer Support Officers and Peer Support Program (PSP) Local Leads to ensure effective governance and consistent service delivery.
  • Implement evidence-informed strategies to maintain, grow and enhance the program's reach and impact.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds relevant tertiary qualifications in mental health and/or has extensive experience in peer support, ideally with insight into the challenges faced by emergency services personnel.
  • Thrives in a leadership role, supporting and guiding a diverse volunteer team to enhance workplace wellbeing and program effectiveness.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships, develop and facilitate workshops, and prepare clear and professional reports.
  • Excels at working independently, using initiative to manage projects from development through to completion within set timeframes.
  • Brings strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience in research, data management, and case management.
  • Values collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement within a supportive and high-performing Staff Health team.
