Duties will include:

  • Dressings (burns, chronic, complex, post surgical wounds)

  • Immunisations (catch ups, childhood, adult, covid and travel vaccines)

  • Use of childhood blue books and baby checks

  • Ear syringes

  • Injections (depot contraception, B12, Iron, antibiotics, anti-emetics, analgesia)

  • Use of adrenaline in emergency cases.

  • Use of Best practice

  • Maintaining stock control

  • Assisting doctors in minor procedures

  • Removal of sutures

  • Triage

  • Health assessments

-Familiar with recalls and reminder system.

-Assisting with Accreditation and maintain accreditation standards (Sterilizing, infection control etc.)

-Familiar with PENCAT, ehealth and PIP QI for practice incentives.

  • General reception duties - answering phones, adding patients in system, attending to doctors needs, closing/cleaning up practice

About you:

  • Female

  • Must hold current unrestricted RN AHPRA registration.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to multi task

  • Well- presented

  • Evidence of vaccination/immunity status

  • This job can be as extensive as you want to make it so we are Wanting someone that is eager to learn and expand on your skills.

  • Would love for you to work towards your immunisation certificate for registered nurses (3month online course) as this is extremely beneficial for the job.

  • Cervical Screening Certificate and Suturing Certificate required or willing to work towards those courses.

  • MUST be willing to help reception when needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
