Practice Nurse – Part Time (Sutherland NSW)

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Practice Nurse to join a busy general practice in Sutherland. This role suits an energetic nurse with excellent clinical skills, a patient-focused approach, and a solid background in primary care. The position is part time with competitive hourly pay and structured support for professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care within the general practice setting, including wound care, chronic disease monitoring, immunisations, and routine clinical assessments.
- Undertake patient education and health promotion, supporting self-management plans for conditions such as diabetes, COPD, asthma and cardiovascular disease.
- Perform screening, triage, and point-of-care testing, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.
- Collaborate with GPs and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care and improve clinical outcomes.
- Maintain infection control standards, clinical governance and contribute to quality improvement activities.
- Support administrative tasks related to nursing workflows, recalls, and immunisation registers.
What We're Looking For
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience: 3–6 years post-registration experience, with demonstrated practice nursing experience in general practice or primary care.
- Registration & Eligibility: General registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency; Australian citizen or eligible to work in Australia.
- Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication, and an ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development.
