Elephant Corridor Restaurant is seeking a dynamic Tandoori cook/chef with a proven track record in the hospitality industry to work with us in an exciting role in our restaurant.

Skills and Experience:

  • ïAt least two years' experience as a cook in a Indian Restaurants 3 start dining environments;

  • ïCertificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent or higher trade qualifications)

  • ïExperience in delivering consistently high-quality food to customers;

  • ïStrong interpersonal skills with proven ability to cultivate strong relationships in a team-based environment.

  • ïAbility to plan menus for different cultural/dietary requirements

Responsibilities

  • ïPlanning and preparing nutritious meals & food items.

  • ïPrepare meals to meet the needs of customers with special dietary requirements and allergies

  • ïOrder food supplies in consultation with director

  • ïEnsure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks

  • ïEnsuring cooking methods, portions and recipes are followed;

  • ïMaintaining a clean and well-presented kitchen compliant with food safety standards;

  • ïWork as part of a team to create a safe and friendly work environment.
