United Petroleum is an independent, Australian-owned petrol and convenience company that offers customers premium-quality fuels and competitive pricing nationwide. Established in 1993, the United Retail Network comprises over 400 locations across every state in Australia and is one of the largest privately owned groups in the country.

We're on the lookout for a driven and capable Area Manager to oversee approximately 15 fuel and convenience store locations. If you've got multi-site retail or convenience experience and are ready to take on more responsibility, this is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark in a growing national business. You'll lead by example, support and develop retailers and store teams, and ensure consistent performance across your network. Fuel experience is desirable, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the performance of approximately 15 retail locations
  • Coach and develop store teams and retailers to grow retail performance
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards
  • Achieve audit and quality targets across the network
  • Deliver engaging customer experiences across all sites
  • Support rollout of local and national marketing initiatives
  • Onboard, and retain high-performing retailers
  • Champion HSSE standards and compliance with company policies and legislation
What You'll Bring
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in retail or convenience (multi-site preferred)
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Hands-on, proactive mindset with a focus on performance and quality
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to build strong relationships
  • Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills
  • Experience in fuel, QSR, or high-volume convenience is a bonus – not essential
  • Passion for developing people and improving store standards
