An exciting opportunity is available to join our fast-growing, dynamic national retail chain as part of our buying team

About You:

We're looking for a Buyer Assistant who is driven, ready for a challenge, and eager to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.

If you have a passion for toys and love discovering the latest and greatest collectibles from Australia and overseas, this role is for you We need someone detail-oriented, analytical, and goal-driven to contribute to a critical and growing area of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with administrative tasks to support the buying team.
  • Maintain accurate SKU data integrity.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders.
  • Allocate stock efficiently.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Track market trends and competitor activity locally and overseas.
  • Analyse sales data and recommend action points to the Buyer.
  • Coordinate and review catalogues and promotional programs.
  • Review private label packaging for accuracy and quality.
  • Communicate with stores to ensure effective execution of product ranges.
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess displays, gather feedback, and implement improvements.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in buying, merchandising, or a similar role (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management, organisation, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
