Job Description

Mergent Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Contract Administrator to join our dynamic team for an immediate start. This is an exciting opportunity to join a tier one contractor at Olympic Dam.

This Roxby Downs–based position offers flights ex-Adelaide assisting in the delivery of a major project that supports the expansion of BHP's Olympic Dam operation. Flexible rosters are available (5/2 or 4/3) with a full-time opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer contracts and manage performance.
  • Prepare contract notices, EOTs, and latent condition submissions.
  • Manage invoicing and progress claims per project bank account requirements.
  • Support Project Managers with timelines, budgets, and performance tracking.
  • Assist with cost control, forecasting, and job budget alignment.
  • Coordinate project start-up items (insurances, permits, approvals, PBAs).
  • Compile handover documentation and drive certification processes.
  • Maintain registers for variations, EOTs, RFIs, and contracts.
  • Build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Support system improvements and subcontract administration.

Were looking with someone with the following:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a contract administration role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • White card
  • Current drivers license
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in construction management or a related discipline (highly regarded)
  • A proactive attitude with a focus on precision, relationship and results
  • Must have Australian working rights.
