About the role

We are seeking an Application Analyst to join our team, supporting stakeholders to ensure seamless business continuity and the effective delivery of BAU activities, projects, and change initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership and ensure delivery of tasks, requested by the internal and external stakeholders, which could be in the form of production support requests, changes and project work.
  • Work closely with business solutions/external vendor/partners/business SMEs/developers to help resolve issues and deliver tasks at hand.
  • Work closely with the team to assist in handover and cross training activities to ensure minimum single point of failures for systems within the team.
  • Adhere to the SDLC principles and responsible for creating proper documentation of work undertaken in each phase of the SDLC.
  • Continuously improve upon the business experience and identify solutions to improve efficiencies
  • Represent Applications Operations to estimate effort, deliver projects and change when required.
  • Follow the Incident Management process, take ownership of incidents, produce relevant artefacts and represent team in incident meetings
  • Take ownership of ad-hoc tasks as directed by Manager
  • Design and develop fit-for-purpose solutions with guidance from industry best practices.
  • Keep up to date with latest technology development and implement Kaizen initiatives.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Fleet Management processes and systems
  • Experience with the Miles application
  • Relevant technical skills required to perform daily tasks in areas such as SQL, Web Services, System Configuration and emerging technologies
  • Very good understanding of SDLC
  • Good technical and business communication skills – both written and oral
  • Ability to present to all levels of business and technical decision makers
  • Excellent understanding of the industry practices
  • Very strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Demonstrate strong ownership of task at hand and ability to see it through from issue to identification to resolution.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal direction
  • Must have a passion for learning and technology

Desirable skills

  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Experience with Web & Mobile application
  • Experience in .NET, JavaScript, Azure services
