Application Form
Applications are invited for the position of Accountant, based at Council's Administration Centre. The successful applicant shall be responsible for the management and control of Council's Financial Reporting Systems and Stores/ Depot function.

Essential:
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting (or equivalent relevant qualification) with at least two (2) years relevant experience in an accounting position, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the Director Corporate and Community Services.
- Class C Drivers Licence.
Skills and Experience
- A demonstrated ability to show initiative and innovation and to solve problems by examination and analysis of available options within timeframes and with available resources.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the preparation and completion of Annual Financial Statements and the Annual Budgetary process.
- Sound understanding of accounting standards.
- Ability to work in a team environment and liaise effectively with staff in other departments.
Desirable:
Qualifications
- Substantial progression and/ or completion of CPA qualifications.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in local government.
- Working knowledge of NSW local government accounting principles,
- Experience in Technology One Software Systems.
Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023. The classification for the position will be in a range from Professional/ Specialist Band 3, Level 2, Grade 15 to Professional/ Specialist Band 3, Level 3, Grade 16. Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,721.93 to $2,025.43 gross per week.
