About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Lemontree Feedlot as a full-time Assistant Maintenance Manager based in Millmerran, QLD. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the company's facilities and equipment to ensure smooth operations. With a focus on preventative maintenance, you will play a crucial part in keeping our business running efficiently and safely.

What you'll be doing

  • Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a range of equipment, machinery, and facilities
  • Identify and address potential issues before they become problems, through proactive maintenance and monitoring
  • Assist with the coordination and supervision of third-party contractors and maintenance providers
  • Provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements to improve the efficiency and reliability of our facilities
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in a maintenance or handyperson role, preferably with mechanical and welding experience.
  • Strong practical skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve a variety of maintenance issues
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and address potential problems
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and external contractors
