Retail Tenancy Delivery & Design Manager

The Tenancy Delivery & Design Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Tenancy Design review process through to Delivery. You will drive high quality design outcomes and highlight opportunities throughout the design approval process. Deliver outstanding commercial property design standards, adopting and ensuring compliance with leasing processes and systems.

This role requires you to be motivated and results driven. You will need to be flexible and adaptable in your approach to resolving complex issues. In addition, as a key success in the role is relationship management, you will have communication and interpersonal skills of the highest calibre.

You should possess appropriate tertiary qualifications such as a degree in a relevant construction related discipline, technical knowledge, retail design experience and commercial acumen.

  • Promote and lead the effective delivery of quality retail tenancies
  • Ensure the delivery of retail and customer outcomes is in a manner that creates a sustainable product and incorporates HS&E principles
  • Contribute to the team through effective colleague collaboration
  • Identify and resolve disputes quickly and efficiently
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with client representatives, consultants, contractors adjoining property managers and centre management.
  • Manage and coordinate project handover phases with contractors, tenants, leasing and centre management
  • Review and appraise Tenant issued proposed Tenancy Designs in accordance with Design Guidelines
  • Directly manage key stakeholder relationships such as stakeholders,  tenants, shopfitters, contractors, consultants, approval authorities in order to achieve required business outcomes
  • Manage and coordinate all stakeholders' expectations to ensure the Tenancy Design and Delivery team successfully deliver their accountabilities to understood and agreed expectations
  • Maintain strong  relationships  with  the  Leasing  and  Centre  Management teams to  ensure  tenancies are delivered within the agreed financial, design and delivery criteria

You should possess:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in retail Tenancy Delivery
  • Relevant construction related discipline, knowledge of retail tenancy fitout within a operational shopping centre
  • High level of understanding of service within retail asset (shopping centres)
  • Technical knowledge and commercial acumen
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
