As Senior Village Manager, you'll lead daily operations across the community, managing teams, budgets, compliance, and resident engagement. This is a hands-on leadership role where your expertise will shape the resident experience, drive continuous improvement, and make a lasting impact every single day.
This position is offered as a maximum-term contract until 24 October 2027.

In this role, you'll
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of Templestowe Village
- Inspire and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and accountability
- Deliver the Village Improvement Plan (VIP), ensuring continuous growth and innovation
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to drive sustainability
- Champion safety, compliance, and wellbeing across residents, staff, and contractors
- Build strong relationships with residents, committees, families, and the broader community
- Manage escalations, disputes, and legal matters with professionalism and care
- Collaborate with peers and the Area Manager to support regional initiatives and strategic priorities
About you
You're a seasoned leader who thrives on creating meaningful resident experiences and managing complex operations. You'll bring:
- Experience in retirement living, property/facility management, hospitality, or a related service industry (5–7 years+)
- Strong leadership experience, ideally across multi-site operations or larger teams
- Proven financial and commercial acumen with experience managing budgets
- Sound understanding of compliance and safety requirements, ideally under the Retirement Villages Act
- Confidence in conflict resolution, complaint management, and resident engagement
- Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills
- Comfort with technology and reporting systems
- A genuine passion for helping people live well, with empathy and resilience
