About the Role:

Join an exciting and diverse role at Wellcamp Airport where no two days are the same.

This position combines Airfield Reporting Officer duties with broader airport operations and basic maintenance responsibilities, offering the opportunity to work across multiple facets of aviation operations.

As part of our close-knit airport team, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety, compliance and smooth running of our aerodrome and facilities.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily airfield inspections, reporting and compliance checks in accordance with CASA.
  • Operate vehicles and light machinery to support operational and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor airside users and maintain compliance with CASA and airport regulations.
  • Respond to incidents and act as a first responder in the event of an emergency.
  • Contribute to maintaining operational manuals, reports and safety systems.
  • Provide customer service and support across airport operations.

This is a hands-on, outdoors and office-based role that requires flexibility, initiative and attention to detail.

About you:

We are looking for someone who is proactive, safety-focused, and thrives in a team environment. You will ideally bring:

  • Experience working in a regulated or compliance-based environment.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • A commitment to safety, accuracy and teamwork.
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening and obtain ASIC clearance.
  • Flexibility to work shifts roster including weekends and public holidays.
  • Hold current C class (manual) drivers license.
  • Forklift ticket (desirable)
  • First Aid / CPR (desirable)
  • Willingness to obtain required on the job training and certificates.
