The BEMS at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Trades Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

The Mackay Base Hospital Trade Assistant positions assist in maintaining the buildings, plant, equipment and essential services in Mackay Hospital and Health Service - in a safe, reliable, and efficient state.

About the Team

The BEMS team comprises various qualifications, skills and occupations including professional, administrative, operational and trades staff.  The trades provided by in-house staff include electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical.  Contractors are used to complement in-house trades staff to provide an efficient and effective service.

About our Hospital and Health Service

Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
