We are looking for a Part-Time Surgery Nurse to join our team. 

About our Surgery Nurses:

Our Surgery Nurses support the Surgery department, Emergency procedures and Radiology. These nurses assist with a wide variety of cases, from admission through to recovery. We are looking for passionate, like-minded nurses who are excited by being challenged and who want to learn from some of the best in the industry. SASH places a huge emphasis on the continuous training and development of our people and our nursing team is no exception.

About You:

We are looking for a passionate nurse who can work independently with a reliable, adaptable and proactive approach to your work. We are looking for a nurse who has the following skills:

  • A keen interest in Surgery and Theatre based work and a desire to work closely with our patients throughout their entire surgical journey.
  • An ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in General Anaesthesia & ventilation. A training program will be developed for the right person to support their ongoing learning and development.
  • Confidence working in an extremely busy environment

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • Completed a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
  • A minimum of 2 years, full-time experience as a qualified nurse
  • Previous experience in surgery would be highly regarded but is not essential.
