North Altona, Victoria, Australia Eating and Feeding Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

We are expanding our team

We are looking for a neurodivergent-affirming dietitian with experience supporting people with eating disorders to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who understands the connection between food, sensory processing, interoception, emotional regulation, and identity. You will work with individuals and families to support safe, sustainable eating and help build trust in food and body experiences.

At Eating and Feeding, we strongly encourage applications from neurodivergent and lived-experience clinicians. We are committed to creating a workplace that feels inclusive, affirming, and supportive for both clients and staff.

What We Offer

  • Collaborative team:
Work alongside our team of allied health clinicians who bring expertise in feeding, eating disorders, sensory differences, anxiety, and neurodivergence. We value reflective practice, open communication, and shared learning.
  • Lived experience valued:
Many of our team bring personal experience with neurodivergence and eating differences. We value authenticity, curiosity, and care.
  • Holistic, client-led care:
Support clients to understand their needs, trust their bodies, and advocate for themselves across all areas of life.
  • Continued growth:
Access both internal and external supervision, as well as mentoring and development in neuro-affirming, eating disorder-informed, and sensory-aware care.

Your Role

In this role, you will provide evidence-informed, neurodivergent-affirming nutrition support for people experiencing eating disorders, feeding challenges, and food-related distress. You will help clients explore eating in ways that feel safe, achievable, and aligned with their values.

Your work will include:

  • Eating disorder and feeding support
     – including ARFID, anorexia, binge eating, sensory-based eating differences, food-related anxiety, and mealtime overwhelm.
  • Exploring food autonomy
     – supporting clients to step away from diet culture and make choices that feel affirming and self-directed.
  • Interoception and body connection
     – supporting clients to build awareness and trust in internal cues while honouring sensory and emotional experiences that influence eating.
  • Shame-free nutrition support
     – providing guidance around food and nourishment without pressure or neuronormative expectations.
  • Family and carer collaboration
     – working with parents and carers to reduce mealtime conflict, promote understanding, and create positive food experiences.
  • Team-based care
     – collaborating with psychologists, occupational therapists, and other clinicians to offer wrap-around, whole-person support.

What We're Looking For

  • Accredited Practising Dietitian with current Dietitians Australia membership
  • Foundations in eating disorder training
  • ANZAED credential desirable but not essential
  • Experience supporting people with eating disorders in private practice, community, or public settings
  • Interest or experience in neurodivergence and sensory-informed practice
  • Commitment to non-diet, trauma-informed, and neuro-affirming care
  • A collaborative, respectful approach that honours autonomy and lived experience
  • Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team

Why Join Eating and Feeding?

  • Be part of a values-driven clinic that centres neurodivergent identity, autonomy, and self-advocacy.
  • Work within a supportive, connected team that values curiosity, integrity, and clinical depth.
  • Access regular internal and external supervision, and mentoring from experienced clinicians in eating disorders, feeding therapy, and sensory-based care.
  • Enjoy sensory-friendly, welcoming clinic spaces designed to support comfort, calm, and connection.
  • Be part of a workplace that prioritises wellbeing, sustainability, and growth.

If this sounds like the right fit, we would love to hear from you. Please email your expression of interest or application to
