Job tasks and responsibilities
- Advise clients on a broad range of commercial matters including contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and commercial disputes;
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in collaboration with partners and the marketing team;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients;
- Contribute to the development and execution of business development strategies;
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements;
- Represent clients in dispute resolution processes including litigation, mediation, and arbitration;
- Stay abreast of legal and industry developments to provide proactive advice to clients.
Skills and experience
- Minimum of 2 years' post-admission experience in commercial law;
- Demonstrated interest or experience in business development, client engagement, or strategic growth initiatives;
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand clients' business needs;
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team;
- Experience mentoring junior lawyers or contributing to team development is highly regarded;
- A proactive, results-driven mindset with a high level of initiative and professionalism.
