About the Role
The Commercial Division is a high-performing jurisdiction responsible for resolving commercial disputes in Victoria. As a Commercial Litigation Associate, you will play a pivotal role in case management, working closely with Judge Burchell to ensure efficient and effective proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine orders on papers
- Conduct directions hearings
- Conduct judicial resolution conferences and trials
You will provide operational, administrative, and technical support both in chambers and in court. This includes case file management, liaising with other support staff, and communication at all levels.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the Commercial Registry and the Court's executive to reform Court procedures and ensure efficient systems of work.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial litigation, interlocutory and trial procedures
- Mediation skills
