About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Handyperson to join our team on a casual basis. In this hands-on role, you will assist the Maintenance Manager with the general upkeep of the hotel, helping to ensure our rooms, public areas, and outdoor spaces are safe, functional, and presented to the highest standard.

This role is ideal for a solutions-focused problem solver who takes pride in their work, communicates clearly, and enjoys variety in their day-to-day tasks.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs across the hotel
  • Carry out basic plumbing tasks and minor patch repairs
  • Complete painting and touch-up work as required
  • Assist with garden upkeep, litter control, and general outdoor maintenance
  • Support rubbish management and waste movement
  • Identify and report maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to prioritise and complete tasks efficiently
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with hotel standard

About You:

  • Previous handyperson, maintenance, or similar experience preferred
  • Trade qualification highly regarded but not essential
  • Practical problem-solving skills and a strong eye for detail
  • Positive communicator with a professional, CAN-DO attitude
  • Comfortable working both independently and within a team
  • Physically fit and capable of manual tasks
  • Weekend availability required
  • Forklift licence desirable (or willingness to obtain/renew at own cost)
