The Opportunity: Kitchen Hand

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5 days per week is a must
• Location: Glasshouse Mountains
• Hours: Up to 38 hours with flexibility
• Compensation: Up to $28/hr + super + 10% retention

You will need a Paid Blue Card

Your Responsibilities:

The Kitchen Hand will prepare the meals for our centres for Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea. There's no need for formal qualifications and all training will be provided but you should be enthusiastic about preparing fresh and wholesome meals for the children in our service. Nutrition is a vital part of children's development and healthy eating is part of the QCCS philosophy. We believe food ingredients should come from the kitchen, not from a lab.

The Kitchen Hand must be passionate about children's nutrition and have the same ethos and passion to embed and promote this in our centre.

Your role will include the preparation of fruits and vegetables for platters etc, heating and delivering meals, ensuring compliance with the centre Food Safety Plan and much more

Our Centre: Glasshouse Early Education Centre is located on the main road just 450m from the Glasshouse Mountains State School. Our Centre opened in October 2006 and caters for 151 children aged from birth to 5 years. We offer quality programs for our children such as swimming lessons, bush kindy, and music and movement.
