APG Workforce is currently seeking an experienced and driven Afternoon Shift Production Manager to join a well-known poultry production team in Wingfield. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in food manufacturing to oversee production operations, drive performance, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

About the Role: 

As the Afternoon Shift Production Manager, you'll be responsible for achieving maximum productivity, managing staff and workflow, and maintaining a safe, high-performing workplace. You'll work closely with the Site Manager and other key departments including QA, Maintenance, and Distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day production operations in line with KPIs
  • Oversee staffing, planning, and labour utilisation
  • Drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, WHS, GMP, and other standards
  • Conduct training, risk assessments, and performance reviews
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with internal teams

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a production leadership role, ideally in food processing or FMCG
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, food safety, and quality systems
  • Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead large teams and manage high-pressure production targets
  • Knowledge of yields, weights, and product flow in poultry or meat processing highly regarded
