Jellinbah Mine is located near the townships of Blackwater and Bluff in Central Queensland and produces 6.0 million tonnes of PCI product annually.

As a full-time Diesel Fitter Apprentice, you will be employed by the mine owner, for the duration of the apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will commence in February 2026. At the successful completion of training the candidate will receive a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology.

The successful candidates will have: -

  • Sound communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Minimum of year 12 education
  • Sound achievement in Maths and English
  • Hold a current QLD driver's license
  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude
  • A strong commitment to Health and Wellness
  • Must supply own accommodation
  • Australian citizenship is required for this apprenticeship position

To be considered for these roles you must live locally in Blackwater, Bluff, Dingo and Central Queensland catchment area and must provide proof of this upon application. This position will be a 4/3 roster.

Mature age apprentice applicants will also be considered.
