Heavy equipment fitter role: fault diagnosis, servicing, CAT/Hitachi exp. Req. trade cert, mining exp, safety focus, licences & medicals.

Golding are currently seeking experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Fitters to become part of our Maintenance team at Jellinbah Mine, situated near Blackwater. The individuals we hire will hold a pivotal position in guaranteeing the safety, effectiveness, and dependability of our operations.
This position operated on a 7/7 roster, rotating day and night shifts.
Local employees are eligible for a Housing Allowance, whereas non-local employees receive Camp Accommodation in Blackwater and Meals. Bus transport between camp and site are provided.
Key Aspects of This Role
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment faults.
- Performing disassembly and assembly of machinery and components.
- Conducting routine servicing of equipment, both in the site workshop and field.
- Completing maintenance administration tasks accurately and promptly.
- Actively participating in toolbox and safety meetings.
- Contributing to hazard identification, risk assessments, and work method statement reviews.
Required Skills & Experience
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
- Proven heavy mobile earthmoving equipment experience in a production mining environment
- Dual trade experience is highly regarded
- Experience with Caterpillar equipment highly desirable
- Experience with CAT 6060 & Hitachi 5600 Excavators highly desirable
- Capacity to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of SAP highly desirable
- Excellent attitude towards safety and commitment to zero-harm
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current Standard 11
- Ability to pass Coal Board Medical, Functional Capacity Assessment and Drug & Alcohol screen
- Proven heavy mobile earthmoving equipment experience in a production mining environment
