Diversa Trustees Limited (DTL) is a specialist Trustee company focusing on superannuation funds in Australia, including retail master trusts, corporate funds, platform (wraps), Pooled Superannuation Trusts, and insurance only funds. Diversa has been operating for many years providing trustee services to approximately 14 APRA regulated superannuation funds.

About the role

The Senior Risk and Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring Diversa implements and maintains a robust risk and compliance framework that complies with external regulatory obligations and meets community expectations and industry standards and supports Diversa achieving its strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

·       Support the General Manager (GM) Risk and Compliance (R&C) in the successful delivery of the risk and compliance program of work including satisfactorily meeting targets, deliverables and timelines.

·       Responsible for supporting the design, implementation and management of the Compliance Framework and related policies, procedures and tools to ensure effective compliance with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.

·       Supporting the identification and monitoring of compliance with Obligations set out in Obligations Register.

·       Support the design and delivery of the Outsourcing Policy and second-line compliance oversight of outsourced service providers.

·       Responsible for preparing risk and compliance reports as required for the review and approval of the GM R&C.

·       Responsible for conducting compliance reviews and approval of annual reports, disclosure documents.

·       Assist the Incident and Breach Manager in the management of incidents and breaches.

·       Provide SME risk and compliance advice and support in relation to internal business units and external parties as required.

Knowledge and Experience

·       Tertiary qualification in Law, Business and/or Risk Management

·       Postgraduate / industry certifications in related areas will be well regarded

·       Significant experience (5 years +) in a risk and compliance related role at superannuation trustee.

Skills and Competency

·       Commercial business acumen

·       Demonstrable thought leadership in compliance management framework, methodology and application for a superannuation trustee

·       Demonstrable thought leadership in risk management framework, methodology and application for a superannuation trustee

·       Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Proven problem-solving skills

·       High level of attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills
