Led by our expert directors who live and breathe architecture and design, our team are a tight-knit, creative and collaborative group who appreciate quality design and take pride in their work.
Our Sydney Studio has seen remarkable growth in recent years and continues to go from strength to strength, delivering key projects across both metropolitan Sydney and beyond. As a collective of enthusiastic and talented architects, designers, and interior designers, we are delivering some of Australia's most significant and landmark projects for a range of high-profile clientele. Our work includes collaborations with internationally acclaimed architects and design houses.
We're currently seeking a design-focused, detail-orientated, and technically skilled Interior Designer to join our team on a full-time basis.
About the role:**Our Interior Design team works on projects both individually and collaboratively, managing projects from end-to-end, across multi-residential, hotel, workspace, commercial and hospitality sectors. We work hard but never take ourselves too seriously, so if you've got a sense of humour and the ability to grow into our work culture, you'll get far in this position. Ultimately, we're after someone driven and collaborative who's comfortable working towards competing deadlines with maturity, integrity and diplomacy.
Your responsibilities:
- Contributing to the interior design of Plus projects, working both independently and within project teams
- Integrating interior design work with the work of other design disciplines
- Resolving detailing and technical issues in line with the project's design agenda
- Contributing to all project phases: concept design, space planning, design development, documentation to on-site construction management and contract administration
Sectors of Focus
We are seeking an Interior Designer with demonstrated expertise in the design and delivery of interior common areas across a variety of sectors, with a particular focus on:
- Hotels & Hospitality – including lobbies, function spaces, and guest amenities that elevate the guest experience through considered materiality, spatial flow, and identity.
- Multi-Residential Developments – with a strong understanding of how to craft shared spaces such as lobbies, corridors, lounges, and rooftop areas that foster community while delivering high-end finishes and functional layouts.
- Mixed-Use and Public Interface Zones – including function rooms, co-working spaces, and community areas that serve both residents and visitors.
- Apartment Interiors – while not the primary focus, some experience in private apartment fitout and layout planning is beneficial.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work in close collaboration with architects, understanding how interior design integrates with base building planning, structure, and façade intent. Experience navigating architectural drawings, joinery detailing, and cross-disciplinary coordination is essential.
Ideally, you will have:
- Relevant qualifications in Interior Architecture / Interior Design
- Demonstrated 3-5 years of local experience
- Interest in working on hospitality and multi-residential design
- Experience in hotel, hospitality, residential and commercial projects through all phases of design (concept design through to construction administration)
- Demonstrated documentation and detailing experience
- Ability to present design ideas in drawing form
- Experience using Revit, Sketchup and Enscape
- Commitment to achieving high-quality design outcomes for current and potential projects
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to proactively communicate with team members, consultants and clients
