We are a dealership for high-end marine brands including Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Twin Disc and ZF. Over our 30-year history we have developed a high performing team and continue to grow, now with this great opportunity for a Parts Interpreter.

As Parts Interpreter you will be responsible for part supply and logistics for direct part sales and service operations. Day to day interactions will be with customers, suppliers, service manager and technicians. To succeed in the role you must be energetic, highly organized, hardworking and thrive in a team environment.

What to expect

Our parts portfolio covers a broad range of marine engine, transmission and running gear. Parts are sourced from OEM networks and other suppliers.

Due to the highly customized nature of the marine industry, there are often custom parts required, which requires creative problem solving to source the components on a schedule that solves for our customers.

What you'll do

  • Source parts and allocate them to service jobs and customer orders.
  • Monitor inventory within the parts system, communicate parts updates and availability with the service team and customers.
  • Systematically receive, inspect, and put away stock and special-order parts.
  • Identify parts issues and give feedback that will contribute to future improvements.
  • Pick up and transport parts using company vehicles or forklift, engaging third parties when necessary.
  • Organize information and reports for the service team and general manager.
  • Process orders, invoices and payments.

What you'll bring

  • Prior experience as a Parts Interpreter is an advantage, ideally from the marine, heavy vehicle or automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with both the internal team and customers.
  • A detail oriented, quality mindset and proactive work ethic
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to perform repetitious duties including regular lifting, packing, bending and standing.
  • Current Australian driver license.
  • Forklift license is an advantage.
