The Standard Market Company is seeking an enthusiastic Casual Kitchen Hand/Dishwasher to join our team at our Southport. This is a great opportunity to be part of a busy and vibrant hospitality environment, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations.

Kitchen Hand/Steward – Casual

30+ hours per week

Support our kitchen operations with cleaning, prep assistance, and general kitchen duties. Great entry point into the food industry.

Full-time position available for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist the kitchen team with food preparation tasks
  • Wash and maintain all kitchen equipment, utensils and surfaces to the highest standards of cleanliness
  • Ensure the kitchen area is kept tidy and organised at all times
  • Follow all health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a kitchen hand or dishwasher, preferably in a similar fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Availability for early morning starts (5am start)
  • Shift from 5am; or finish time at 6pm
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • You must be physically fit as there is frequent lifting involved in this role.
  • Ability to work efficiently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
