  • Primary Work Location: Willing to consider candidates across all NSW locations. Preference will be given to candidates based regionally, with a focus on Queanbeyan, Armidale, Dubbo and Coffs Harbour

About the Role

The Finance, Projects & Reporting Officer is responsible for supporting project management and administration to assist with the delivery of program outcomes within the Fisheries and Forestry Branch and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, including the financial planning and management reporting of the NSW Marine Estate Management Strategy.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • A collaborative and problem-solving approach to work
  • Experience in preparing and managing budgets, financial plans, and reports aligned with standards and outcomes
  • Capability in ensuring transparent financial reporting and administration, meeting funding and compliance requirements
  • Experience in financial analysis, including forecasting, reconciliations, and expenditure tracking to monitor performance
  • Capability in contributing to the preparation of funding applications
  • Experience presenting information in different formats
  • Experience in resolving reporting, audit, and system issues in collaboration with stakeholders to improve processes
  • Capability in developing and improving project management processes.
