Data Engineer – Azure / Fabric

  • 12-Month Fixed Term
  • Hybrid (2–3 Days in Office)
  • $130,000 – $140,000 plus superannuation

You will play a central role in building scalable pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using MS Fabric, Fabric Data Factory, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Develop high-quality, reusable code and solutions using Python, SQL, and related technologies.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, efficient data models within modern data lakehouse architectures.
  • Support data governance initiatives through effective metadata management, cataloguing, and data lineage documentation.
  • Implement robust validation, cleansing, and monitoring frameworks to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Partner with analysts, data scientists, and business teams to deliver insights and translate technical outcomes into business value.
  • Clearly document and communicate workflows, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Proactively solve complex data challenges, adapting to emerging technologies and evolving business needs.
