The Role

We're seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to take ownership of a mature data environment — including an established Azure Data Lake — and play a key role in optimising, integrating, and bringing their data assets together into a cohesive, insightful platform.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining scalable Azure-based data solutions (Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, etc.)
  • Working closely with stakeholders across the business to understand data needs and translate them into actionable models and pipelines
  • Improving data quality, structure, and accessibility across multiple sources
  • Supporting modernisation initiatives to drive data maturity and enable smarter decision-making
  • Collaborating with analysts, developers, and business teams to ensure consistent and reliable data delivery

What we're looking for:

  • Strong experience as a Data Engineer, ideally with Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, or Databricks
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration
  • Experience working with large, complex data environments
  • A collaborative mindset and strong stakeholder communication skills
  • Previous experience in a Not-for-Profit or values-driven organisation (highly regarded)
