About the Role

Due to expanding Austin Engineering's product range within the Water Truck Operation, we have a new exiting role available with our team in QLD.

Reporting to the Global Product Manager – Water Tanks in Brisbane, QLD, this full-time Product Support Advisor role will be responsible for supporting both customers and internal teams throughout the entire product lifecycle of Water Tanks and Spray Systems of Heavy Mining Mobile Equipment.

You will act as the first point of contact for all water tank support needs, ensuring seamless operation of our products in demanding mining environments and ongoing relationship management.

This position requires broad technical expertise around Mining Mobile Equipment, excellent problem-solving ability, and strong customer engagement skills. You will work closely with cross-functional teams as well as directly with customers on-site, to maximise product performance and strengthen Austin Engineering's reputation of Water Truck Operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Serving as the primary technical contact for clients, responding to inquiries and troubleshooting product issues in a timely manner
  • Build strong customer relationships through regular site visits and proactive support
  • Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and support activities
  • Providing training and guidance to customers on the proper operation and maintenance of our mining solutions
  • Liaising with our engineering and manufacturing teams to communicate customer feedback and requirements
  • Preparing technical documentation and user manuals to support the implementation and use of our products
  • Identifying opportunities to improve our product offerings and customer service based on client needs
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and delivery of new water tanks
  • Conduct on-site audits, prepare customer reports, and recommend maintenance strategies
  • Collaborate with engineering on design validation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide input into spare parts planning and stock management
  • Contribute to marketing, branding, and industry engagement activities to position Austin as a leader in water truck operations

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or Mining (or related field)
  • Strong technical knowledge of engineering components, technical drawings, and relevant Australian Standards
  • Solid mechanical experience and understanding of hydraulics and auto electrics of heavy mining mobile equipment
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Sales, Account Management, or Business Development, with a focus on customer relationship management and business growth
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels
  • Skilled at translating technical information into easy-to-understand guidance for customers
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical or product issues
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and represent Austin at industry events
  • Ability and willingness to provide support to our resource clients outside of normal business hours over the phone, if required
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote and mobile role, with frequent travel, flexible hours, and a suitable home office setup, when required
