Infrastructure Facilities Specialist

Work Arrangement:
This is an
on-site role in Canberra
supporting Government clients. Flexible/hybrid working arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis, but the position is primarily on-site.

Jigsaw Notions is seeking an experienced
Infrastructure Facilities Specialist
to join our consulting team, supporting Government programs. This role combines
facilities design and management
, providing oversight of secure data centre environments and workplace infrastructure while shaping long-term planning and capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate facilities design and operations across multiple sites.
  • Provide advice and reporting to senior leadership on facilities performance, design outcomes, risks, and budget oversight.
  • Contribute to the design and documentation of workplace layouts, rack designs, cabling, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Supervise installation, maintenance, and upgrades of facilities and data centre systems.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, processes, and compliance artefacts.
  • Manage vendors and contractors, ensuring quality service delivery.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support business and program outcomes.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in facilities
    design and management
    for large enterprise data centres.
  • Knowledge of physical and electronic security systems.
  • Experience authoring and maintaining facilities and infrastructure documentation.
  • Proven background in cabling design, rack layouts, and monitoring/DCIM tools.
  • Strong vendor management and project management capability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous leadership in facilities or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in secure or highly regulated environments.
  • 5+ years in facilities, infrastructure, or workplace accommodation roles.
